Shavuot celebrates matan Torah (revelation of the Torah). The Torah is the source of Jewish living and learning. But our understanding of the Torah is ltered through generations of rabbinic interpretation. This Shavuot, Heilicher’s students took their place in the chain of interpretation. They all studied a single pasuk (verse) and created their own commentary.
