Banner: The Smith Annual Benefit went back to school and raised over $410,000! Making rigorous, joyful, Jewish education accessible for all. Thank you for your support and for being a part of our community

This year, we tried something new: bringing our community “Back to School” for the Smith Jewish Academy Annual Benefit. The energy was undeniable.

More than 300 people filled our classrooms and hallways, transformed into immersive, small-group experiences with live music, games, delicious nosh, and plenty of ruach. From playful “lessons” to meaningful connections, the evening captured what makes Smith so special: curiosity, creativity, and a deep sense of community.

There were moments that said it all — current and former teachers reconnecting with students who now have children of their own at Smith. A full-circle reminder of the lasting impact of a Smith education.

Together, our community showed up in a powerful way. With over 260 gifts totaling more than $416,000, this year’s benefit will directly support academic excellence, Jewish learning, and affordability for families across the Twin Cities.

There’s still time to be part of this moment. Every gift helps ensure that more families can access a Smith education and that our students continue to grow as learners, leaders, and mensches.

As co-chairs Sharon Feinstein-Rosenblum and Mark Rosenblum shared, “A strong Jewish school is the heart of a strong Jewish community.”

And thanks to this community, that heart is beating stronger than ever.
